Aki is calling the hotel on his phone to make a reservation for their trip. Yume is sitting right beside him, looking up the venue on her tablet.

Sato

Thank you for calling. This is Business Hotel Ueno.

Aki

Um, I'd like to book a room for two people for one night this Saturday. Do you have any vacancies?

Sato

This Saturday, the 15th? One moment, please... I'm sorry, the doubles are full. We could offer you a twin room for 12,000 yen, if that suits.

Yume

Twin's fine, we'll manage!

Aki

In that case, the twin. Yes, please.

Sato

Certainly. May I have the name for the reservation?

Yume

It says online that it's a five-minute walk from the station, can you check?

Aki

My name is Aki Manu. By the way, about how far is it on foot from Ueno Station?

Staff

It's about five minutes walking through the back street from the Iriya Exit. It's a quiet and easy-to-find location.

Sato

Thank you. We have booked one twin room for two people for one night, arriving this Saturday the 15th and leaving Sunday the 16th, for 12,000 yen. We look forward to your arrival on the day.

Aki and Yume walk up to the quiet front desk of the hotel, a few minutes east of Ueno station.

Aki

Good evening. I'd like to check in, we have a reservation under Manu.

Staff

Mr. Manu, yes. Let me look that up... Yes, we have a reservation for a twin room for one night. Pardon me, but could you please sign here?

Aki

Yes, is this fine?

Staff

Thank you. Breakfast is in the first-floor restaurant, and is available tomorrow morning from six thirty to nine thirty.

Aki

Um, we are going to a concert tonight and will probably be back quite late; is it possible to come and go during the night?

Staff

The entrance is locked late at night, but you can enter with this card key, so it is fine no matter what time it is.

Staff

Well then, your room is room four-zero-five on the fourth floor. Please have a relaxing stay.

Aki

Thank you. Well, shall we go to the room, Yume?

Upstairs, they open the door to their room. It is small, with two single beds taking up most of the space.

Yume

Wow, with two beds in here, it's so cramped there's almost no space left to put our bags!

Aki

But it's on a back street, so it's quiet. Look — the window even opens.

Yume

It really does, a nice breeze is coming in! Alright, once we put our bags down, shall we head straight to the concert venue?
