Geeks in G

Delete your account

You can delete your Geeks in Kyoto account whenever you like. You don't need our permission, and you don't have to give a reason.

From the app or the website

Sign in, open Account, and choose Delete account. You'll be asked to confirm once. The deletion happens straight away.

If you can't sign in, or don't have the app

Email [email protected] from the address you signed in with and ask us to delete your account. We'll reply within 30 days.

What we delete

  • Your account identity — the email address, name and picture Google Sign-In gave us, and the Google identifier we use to recognise you when you come back.
  • When your account was created, and when it was last used.
  • Your consents to the one-off launch email and to occasional developer updates, which also takes you off those lists.
  • Any settings we hold for you on our servers.

This happens immediately on our live systems. Encrypted backups age out on their own cycle.

What deleting your account does not remove

  • Anything kept on your own device. Your preferences, downloaded audio and cached lessons live on your phone or in your browser, not on our servers. To remove those, clear the app's storage or uninstall it.
  • Reports you sent us about an AI response. These are not linked to your account — we don't record who reported what, so there is nothing in them to trace back to you. We keep them so a human can review flagged AI output, which app-store policy requires of us. See Reporting AI responses. If you'd like a particular report removed, email us and describe it.
  • Aggregate security records. To keep the service up and stop abuse we store a one-way hash of the IP address together with a daily count. It doesn't name you, and it can't be turned back into your address.

Your other rights

Access, correction, export and objection work the same way — email [email protected]. We reply within 30 days.
